Sport

Our school provides a wide range of options for students to participate in sport at every level from beginners to elite athletes.

Sport and physical activity is a valued and accepted part of our school's curriculum, contributing to the development of the whole child. It provides a vehicle for social, physical, emotional and moral learning and is an important expression of our culture.

The participation, enjoyment and skill development of our students is the corner-stone of the school sport program. All our students take part in this program.

There are also opportunities to represent our school at inter-school sports competitions. As a NSW public school we benefit from the opportunities for shared activities and competitions with other schools, coordinated by school sport associations. See the School Sport Unit website for details.

School Sport and Interest Activities Program

School sport is an opportunity to take part in a variety of team sports and leisure activities at a level of intensity that suits every student. In Years 7 -10 school sport is conducted on Tuesday afternoons and students are offered a range of sporting and other interest activities providing an opportunity for students to further develop skills and team work. Students have the opportunity to select a  sport or interest activity 4 times a year. Each sport or interest activity runs for a period of 10 to 11 weeks starting in the middle of each school term. Students in year 7 participate in a swimming program for the first half of term 1 before they join students in years 8-10 in the 'School Sport and Interest Activities Program'.
